Counting Backwards: Florida Book Awards Gold Medal Winner

FloridaBookAwardYou guys, I just found out, Counting Backwards won the Florida Book Awards gold medal in the YA lit category. I’m so excited I’m squeeing all over the place! And the only thing better than winning the gold medal in YA lit is winning it on your birthday, which is today! My squee cannot be contained.

A special thank you to Angele McQuade and Heather Whitaker, the best writing partners a girl can have. My agent, Caryn Wiseman of Andrea Brown Literary and Namrata Tripathi and the Atheneum crew for raising me up. Celebrate, celebrate…

I love Florida!
